His recently published self-help book<\/em>, It Was Never Your Fault<\/strong><\/em>, addresses the often-ignored emotional struggles behind labels such as \u201clazy\u201d<\/em> and \u201cunmotivated,\u201d<\/em> offering a compassionate perspective on silent suffering.<\/p>\n

In an interview, Ayaan reflects on the moment he realised that writing was more than a personal interest.<\/p>\n

\u201cI understood that writing is not just a hobby but a responsibility. There are many people who want to express themselves but cannot. Writing became a way to speak for those who feel unheard.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The title of the book is intentionally thought-provoking. According to Ayaan, It Was Never Your Fault<\/strong><\/em> is designed to make readers pause even before they begin reading.<\/p>\n

\u201cMany people suffer for reasons that are not in their control. The title challenges the instinct to blame oneself.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Rather than focusing on conventional success stories, the book highlights the pain of being misunderstood.<\/p>\n

\u201cSuccess is celebrated everywhere, but people who suffer silently are rarely noticed. Being misunderstood can hurt more than failure, and I felt that these stories needed to be told.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

A significant theme of the book is the misuse of the term \u201clazy,\u201d<\/em> particularly in academic and professional environments. Ayaan explains that this label often hides deeper issues.<\/p>\n

\u201cLaziness is judged from the outside, while potential exists inside. Fear, pressure, and mental exhaustion prevent many people from performing at their best. That is wasted potential, not laziness.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u201cPeople assume that those labelled lazy do not care. In reality, they care deeply but feel overwhelmed, afraid of failure, or emotionally drained.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Ayaan believes schools and workplaces unintentionally reinforce these misunderstandings.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese systems reward outcomes, not effort or emotional well-being. As a result, people hide their struggles and are mislabeled instead of supported.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The book draws from both personal experiences and close observation of others.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy own experiences helped me understand these emotions, while observing others showed me how widespread this problem really is.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Balancing academics with writing requires discipline rather than sacrifice<\/strong>. Ayaan wrote in short sessions whenever time allowed, mainly on weekends. The most challenging part, he admits, was explaining complex emotional ideas in simple language without losing depth.<\/p>\n

Like many young writers, he faced moments of self-doubt.<\/p>\n

\u201cI wondered whether people would take a 14-year-old seriously. Over time, I realised that ideas should be judged by their honesty, not by the age of the person sharing them.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Currently a student at Ridhhima\u2019s Academy<\/strong>, Ayaan credits his environment for encouraging thoughtful expression and real-world relevance. His book focuses on practical, achievable advice<\/strong> rooted in real-life situations rather than abstract theory.<\/p>\n
