Ahmedabad (Gujarat) [India], December 18:<\/strong> <\/span>The\u00a0Institute of Directors (IOD),\u00a0<\/strong>a premier institution with a community of over\u00a030,000 senior executives<\/strong>\u00a0across public and private sectors in India and abroad, is set to organise its inaugural edition of the\u00a02025 National Convention on Leadership and Business Excellence<\/strong>\u00a0on\u00a0December 20, 2025<\/strong>, at the\u00a0GIFT City Club, Radisson Individuals<\/strong>, Gandhinagar, Gujarat. Hosted in collaboration with GIFT City, India\u2019s International Financial Services Centre, the event will bring together senior policymakers, regulators, the judiciary, board leaders, CEOs, and senior civil servants.<\/p>\n

The Convention will be held under the theme\u00a0\u201cDriving Global Excellence through Effective and Future-Ready Boards\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0and will focus on the evolving role of boards in strengthening governance, leadership, and institutional resilience in a complex global environment in alignment with India\u2019s long-term development vision,\u00a0Viksit Bharat 2047<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Convention will be\u00a0graced by Hon\u2019ble Mrs Justice Sunita Agarwal, Chief Justice of the Gujarat High Court<\/strong>, as the\u00a0Chief Guest<\/strong>.\u00a0Hon\u2019ble Justice Ritu Raj Awasthi<\/strong>,\u00a0Vice-Chairman, Institute of Directors<\/strong>, Judicial Member, Lokpal of India, and former Chairperson, Law Commission of India, will provide strategic direction to the Convention.<\/p>\n

Shri Girish Chandra Murmu, IAS (Retd.)<\/strong>, former\u00a0Comptroller and Auditor General of India<\/strong>, will attend as the\u00a0Guest of Honour<\/strong>. The\u00a0Keynote Address<\/strong>\u00a0will be delivered by\u00a0Shri K. Rajaraman, IAS (Retd.)<\/strong>,\u00a0Chairperson, International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA)<\/strong>.\u00a0Shri Sanjay Kaul, IAS<\/strong>,\u00a0Managing Director and Group CEO, Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City)<\/strong>, will be sharing perspectives on GIFT City\u2019s role in India\u2019s global financial ecosystem.<\/p>\n

Mr. Manoj K. Raut, CEO, Institute of Directors (IOD) said,\u00a0<\/strong>\u201cThe Convention is intended to provide a structured platform for dialogue on\u00a0<\/em>board leadership<\/em><\/strong>, regulatory oversight, and governance practices that are increasingly relevant in a globally integrated economy.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Other eminent speakers include\u00a0Dr. Anju Sharma, IAS<\/strong>;\u00a0Ms. Mona Khandhar, IAS<\/strong>;\u00a0Mr. Banchhanidhi Pani, IAS<\/strong>;\u00a0Mr. Maheswar Sahu, IAS (Retd.)<\/strong>;\u00a0Mr. Nagarajan M., IAS<\/strong>; and\u00a0Ms. Paridhi Adani, among others<\/strong>. Senior representatives from institutions such as\u00a0India International Exchange (IFSC) Ltd.<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0NSE IFSC Clearing Corporation, GIFT City,<\/strong>\u00a0will also participate.<\/p>\n
