Chennai (Tamil Nadu) [India], November 22:<\/strong> Sai University<\/a>, Chennai, hosted its Second Convocation Ceremony on Friday, October 24, 2025, at its OMR campus. Students, faculty, and distinguished guests attended the ceremony in traditional Indian dress, symbolizing Sai University\u2019s commitment to blending global education standards with Indian cultural values.<\/p>\n

The ceremony celebrated the graduating class of 2024 from the School of Arts and Sciences (BA\/BSc Hons), the School of Computing and Data Science (BTech), and the School of Law (LLM).<\/p>\n

Chief Guest Shri Ashank Desai, Founder and Chairman of Mastek Ltd., and Founder Member and Former Chairman of NASSCOM graced the event. Guests of Honour included\u00a0Prof. Sankar Kumar Pal\u00a0(Former Director, Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata),\u00a0Shri Sriram Panchu\u00a0(Senior Advocate, Madras High Court), and\u00a0Shri M.K. Santhanaraman\u00a0(Chartered Accountant and Fellow of ICAI, ICSI, and ICWAI).<\/p>\n

Sai University conferred the\u00a0Doctor of Science (Honoris Causa)\u00a0on Shri Ashank Desai for his pioneering contributions to information technology, software development and educational philanthropy, and on Prof. Sankar Kumar Pal for his outstanding global contributions to soft computing, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.<\/p>\n

In his Presidential Address, Chancellor\u00a0Shri K.V. Ramani\u00a0reaffirmed Sai University\u2019s mission to become\u00a0India\u2019s First International Multidisciplinary University. \u201cWe aim to bring world-class education to India, combining global academic standards with Indian values,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Vice Chancellor\u00a0Prof. Ajith Abraham\u00a0presented the annual report, highlighting the University\u2019s academic progress, research accomplishments, and international partnerships.<\/p>\n

50\u00a0students\u00a0were awarded their degrees, including those who completed semester-abroad programs at Dartmouth College (USA) and New England College (USA).\u00a0Nine medals\u00a0were presented to students for academic excellence. The Vice Chancellor also administered the Graduation Oath, with graduates pledging to uphold integrity, professionalism, ethical values, and use their knowledge for the betterment of society.<\/p>\n
